Notice of Allowance Received from USPTO

Emmy Medical, LLC announced today that the US Patent and Trademark Office has informed the company of a notice of allowance of claims for one of the company’s key patent applications regarding its novel 4-Way urinary access catheter, CystoSure®. “This approval from the USPTO is a tremendous advance for Emmy Medical, both for our current product, CystoSure® and with regards to future products  we have in our pipeline,” according to Ron Adams, CEO of Emmy Medical, LLC.

By bringing physician-driven design changes to  the standard 3-way Foley catheter, Cystosure allows OR, office, and bedside cystoscopy while at the same time accomplishing all the current functionality of traditional Foley catheters.  Cystore’s elegant solution is simple enough to use for nurses but effective to solve physicians current challenges with cumbersome and time consuming standard cystoscopy.Emmy Medical received FDA Clearance in Dec 2014 and initiated a limited launch of CystoSure® earlier in the year with plans for a broader launch of its second generation catheter in 2016. To date, the company reports usage of its proprietary diagnostic catheter in over 60 cases with 100% success in those cases.
